Welcome to the “it’s ALMOST Spring” Newsletter!

The days are getting longer and the mercury is beginning to rise. We are gearing up for onset of the outdoor event seasons and look forward to leaving Winter well and truly behind!

Warmer weather means peak season is upon us  and coupled with the completion of The ICC in December this year – 2017 is looking to be one of the most exciting times our industry has seen.

CASE STUDY: You want it HOW BIG?

Our longstanding and valued client MG Digital gave us a call to discuss a campaign idea for their International client. We love to receive these calls from our clients! Starting with a question, or an idea, or what seems to be a wildly unachievable or perhaps even a completely pie in the sky request.

We were tasked with designing and creating a dominating structure to be used as a dramatic backdrop that would shadow a stadium full of Sci Fi gamers.

Magic – The Gathering – Eldritch Moon World Tour brings online gamers together from all over the world.

The reality? 90 square metres of printed fabric…spanning 18m wide by 5m tall – and the catch? It needs to be easy to assemble and completely portable… with minimal rigging and changeable graphics.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! We set about designing a TexFrame system in 3 stages that would be a basic plug and play install. Keeping in mind portability – the outer framework sections were cut into 2.4m and 3m lengths.

 

Our grand format printer can accommodate 3m wide fabric so our finishing team set about the task of connecting 2 runs of 3m wide fabric to get the desired outcome. The dramatic and dark artwork lent itself well to a seam which was concealed by the imagery.

The lightweight TexFrame extrusion required only 2 safety lines for rigging - creating stability for the frame once upright but not weight bearing.

This monstrous display was becoming a reality and put every ADI department into solutions mode.

Day by day, the red-eyed rats featured in the Eldritch Moon graphic were peering at us from great heights… from every corner of our press room and warehouse.

We were dwarfed by the display but as it came together - our client and our team were immensely proud of what we had achieved. Great heights for all involved

Once the test assemble was completed - the entire display was dismantled and packed into a station wagon for delivery to Homebush Stadium. 2 man install - 1 car delivery!

Once the event was over - the frames were dismantled and taken with the Eldritch Moon team on tour to the next destination - HAWAII.

Our client MG Digital and their end user client were completely blown away with the solution we had delivered for them.
